The reference scan is taken with the probe
ends placed into the calibration fixture as
shown. Position the probes fully into the
openings. The cover should be place over the
ends, to block stray light.
Click on the Reference icon (white cuvette) in
Vision to take a reference scan.
This same fixture is used for Wavelength
Linearization, Performance Test, Gain Test,
and other diagnostic tests in Vision.
Instrument Calibration requires an external
wavelength reference to be installed, the XC-
1300 standard. This standard will have a serial
number of WST3Wxxx. For example, it may be
WST3W011. (Early versions were not
serialized, and carried the designation
“WST3WCAL”.)
When Vision asks for this standard, insert into
the fixture as shown.
When the WST3Wxxx standard is run, always
place the cover over the probe ends and
standard as shown to block stray light. See
the section on Instrument Calibration for
specific instructions.
This standard is also used in Wavelength
Certification.
5.2 Vial Heater Module
The Transmission OptiProbe is frequently used with
the Vial Heater Module, shown at right. The Vial
Heater Module is covered by a separate manual,
and the user should refer to this manual for
specifics.
