5. Loosen jam nut (A) to release tension on auger drive
belts (B).
6. Remove the belts.
NOTE: All three belts must be replaced.
NOTE: Check alignment of pulleys. Contact your
MacDon Dealer if pulleys need realigning.
7. Install belts (B) on pulleys ensuring they are in the
pulley grooves.
8. Tension the belts. See
Figure 8.107
9. Reinstall cover (B) with bolts (A).
10. Close driveshield.
11. Readjust tension of new belts after a short run-in period
(about 5 hours).

8.8.8 Sealed Bearing Installation
Follow these steps to install sealed bearings:
1. Clean shaft and coat with rust preventative.
2. Install flangette (A), bearing (B), second flangette (C),
and lock collar (D).
NOTE: The locking cam is only on one side of
the bearing.
3. Install (but do NOT tighten) the flangette bolts (E).
4. When the shaft is correctly located, lock the lock collar
with a punch.
NOTE: The collar should be locked in the same
direction the shaft rotates. Tighten the
setscrew in the collar.
5. Tighten the flangette bolts.
6. Loosen the flangette bolts on the mating bearing one
turn and retighten. This will allow the bearing to line up.
