8.7.2 Replacing a Disc

Follow these steps to replace a disc:

CAUTION

Exercise caution when working around the blades.
Blades are sharp and can cause serious injury.
Wear gloves when handling blades.

1. Open cutterbar doors.

2. Place a block of wood between two discs to prevent

disc rotation while loosening blade bolts.

3. Remove four bolts (A) on disc cover (B) and remove

cover and disc (C).

4. Position new disc (C) on spindle ensuring it is 90° to

the adjacent discs.

5. Install cover (B) and secure with four bolts (A). Tighten

bolts to 92 ft·lbf (125 N·m).
