When the control input signal is either lost or removed, or if
there is a loss of charge pressure, the spring-loaded servo pis-
ton automatically returns the pump to neutral position.
The EDC is a displacement (flow) control. Pump swashplate
position is proportional to the input command and therefore
vehicle or load speed (excluding influence of efficiency), is
dependent only on the prime mover speed or motor displace-
ment.
