6 Commissioning
Warning
Moving loads can cause injury to people or
damage to property in the positioning range.
S
Make sure that:
– nobody can place his/her hand in the
positioning range of the moveable
mass (e.g. by means of a protective
screen).
– no objects lie in the path of the move-
able mass.
If the clamping unit is properly protec-
ted, it should not be possible to touch
it until the work mass has come to a
complete stand.
Commissioning – preparing (dismantling the transport mandrel and adjustment)
Please note
Clamping without a clamping rod will damage the internal clamping element.
S Make sure that clamping unit type KEC-... is always pressurized if there is no
clamping rod or piston rod.
If the clamping unit is exhausted without a clamping rod, the high spring
force will deform the internal clamping element so that it no longer functions.
Adjusting clamping unit type KEC-... and clamping cylinder type DNCKE-... (this is
not necessary if the clamping cylinder has already been pre-adjusted before being
supplied from the factory):
1. Exhaust the cylinder in a stable position (only with DNCKE-...).
In this way you can prevent the piston rod
moving unexpectedly when the clamping
is loosened (e.g. when fitted vertically at
the lowest point).
2. Pressurize the compressed air port 2
with at least 3.8 bar.
