S Remove the adhesive labels on the
compressed air ports.
S Make sure that the connections and the
tubing of the unit are free of dirt particles
or other objects.
S Use tubing of short dimensions.
S Connect the compressed air ports of the
clamping unit 2 and, if applicable, of
cylinder 1.

If used in a very fine dusty or misty ambient air:
1. Use a barbed screw fitting (e.g. type
CK-M5-PK-...) instead of the filter nipple
aA in the exhaust channel of the spring
interior.
2. Use tubing for supplying fresh air to the
spring chamber.
Fitting the electric components
If proximity switches are used in the clamping cylinder (only with type DNCKE-...):
S Use proximity switches of type
SME-8-.../SMT-8-... (see Accessories).
In this way you can ensure that the
switches function faultlessly.
S Place the proximity switches in the
grooves 8 of the cylinder.
S Fasten the proximity switches in the
end positions.
