Configuring the Browser
The Browser has a number of configuration options. You can set these configuration
options with either the Browser interface or by using an editor such as Windows
Notepad and modifying the BROWSER.INI file.
These are the configuration options:
The default Tandem DDE Gateway Dictionary.
Poke and Request Text (to decorate data elements that you copy to the clipboard).
Message Filter Prefix (to restrict which messages you see).
The Browser configuration options are stored in the [Browser] section of the
BROWSER.INI file. These are the configuration options:
PokeBeginning
Enter up to 80 characters to precede the data element name when you copy or
append to the Windows clipboard by clicking a Poke button.
Default: No text.
PokeEnding
Enter up to 80 characters to follow the data element name when you copy or
append to the Windows clipboard by clicking a Poke button.
Default: No text.
RequestBeginning
Enter up to 80 characters to precede the data element name when you copy or
append to the Windows clipboard by clicking a Request button.
Default: No text.
RequestEnding
Enter up to 80 characters to follow the data element name when you copy or
append to the Windows clipboard by clicking a Request button.
Default: No text.
