2–7
Default
If the ServiceMapSection option is not specified, then the Tandem DDE Gateway
looks for a section labeled ServiceMap. If this section is not found, the Tandem
DDE Gateway will not start.
Examples
ServiceMapSection=ServiceMap
ServiceMapSection=ServiceNameObjects
DdeGatewayTextFile
You can customize the Tandem DDE Gateway by constructing an optional file of
messages (in English or another language) that will override the text of the standard
Tandem DDE Gateway error messages. See the section titled “Error Text Overrides
File” starting on page 2-29.
Enter the name of the configuration file containing your messages.
Default
If the DdeGatewayTextFile option is not specified, then the Tandem DDE Gateway
looks for a file named TDMGWTXT.INI in the current directory in effect when you
started the Tandem DDE Gateway. This file is optional.
If you specify just a file name and extension (no directory), then the Windows
directory (the one containing WIN.COM) will be searched.
Examples
DdeGatewayTextFile=FRANCAIS.TXT
DdeGatewayTextFile=C:\TDMGW\GERMAN.TXT
ClientResponseDdeTimeout
This option is used if your client application has DDE hot or warm links to the
Tandem DDE Gateway. When data from an RSC UMS message is being forwarded to
clients by the Tandem DDE Gateway, the clients often must acknowledge receipt of
the data. The use of acknowledgments depends on the client application or tool that
you are using. If the client application does not acknowledge the data within the time
specified by the ClientResponseDdeTimeout, the Tandem DDE Gateway reports a
timeout error.
Enter a number of milliseconds between 3000 and 65000. The default is 30000.
Example
ClientResponseDdeTimeout = 45000
