Factors that can shorten the life-expectancy of supplies
There are several factors that can shorten the life of a supply or kit:
• Print coverage less than 2.5 percent or greater than 5 percent per color.
• A job length of less than three pages.
• The printer is turned off and on several times a day.
• Printing occurs in extremely warm or cool temperature.
• Printing occurs in extremely dry or humid conditions.
You can order supplies online at http://www.hp.com/go/ljsupplies or through one of the following options.
Ordering directly through the embedded Web server
In a network environment, use the following steps to order printing supplies directly through the embedded Web server.
1 In the Web browser, type the IP address for the printer home page. This takes you to the Device Status page.
2 In the Other Links section, click Order Supplies. A new browser window opens and a privacy agreement appears.
If you accept the agreement, the order-supplies website appears.
3 Select the part numbers you want to order and follow the instructions on the screen.
