Mainframe/ShadowImage for Mainframe volume based on TrueCopy for Mainframe and
ShadowImage for Mainframe pair status.

For shared TrueCopy for Mainframe/ShadowImage for Mainframe volumes, the TrueCopy
for Mainframe pair status is reported to the host if you query the TrueCopy for Mainframe
R-VOL. To obtain the ShadowImage for Mainframe pair status, query from the host:

The ShadowImage for Mainframe T-VOL status of the ShadowImage for Mainframe pair
if the ShadowImage for Mainframe S-VOL and TrueCopy for Mainframe M-VOL share
the same volume

The ShadowImage for Mainframe T-VOL status of the ShadowImage for Mainframe pair
if the ShadowImage for Mainframe S-VOL and TrueCopy for Mainframe R-VOL share the
same volume
◦
The ShadowImage for Mainframe S-VOL status of the ShadowImage for Mainframe pair
if the ShadowImage for Mainframe T-VOL and TrueCopy for Mainframe M-VOL share
the same volume.

ShadowImage for Mainframe supports multiple target volumes (T-VOLs) for each source volume
(S-VOL). If you issue a pair status query to a ShadowImage for Mainframe S-VOL (for example,
CQUERY), the status for only one ShadowImage for Mainframe pair is reported (the pair with
the T-VOL with the lowest LDEV ID). To obtain the pair status for the ShadowImage for
Mainframe pair(s) with the other T-VOL(s), you must direct the host query to the specific T-VOL
using the T-VOL's LDEV ID in the host command (for example, CQUERY DEVN parameter).
The ShadowImage for Mainframe software displays the LDEV ID and ShadowImage for
Mainframe pair status of all T-VOLs associated with an S-VOL.
