CESTPAIR
“Using CESTPAIR to Establish and Resynchronize TrueCopy for Mainframe Async Pairs” (page 198)
describes how to use the CESTPAIR command to establish TrueCopy for Mainframe Asynchronous
pairs and resynchronize TrueCopy for Mainframe Asynchronous pairs and groups. The syntax for
the CESTPAIR command is:

Without MODE(RESYNC): Specifies the consistency group
number nn to which the pair will belong. AGnnd

number (00-7F) or master

With MODE(RESYNC): Specifies that all M-VOLs in the
consistency group should be resynchronized.
volume number (00-FF) for
dummy pair mode. Async only. For TrueCopy

addressed device or the master volume number.
d = 0, N, or D
cmd_param with the serial
number of the primary
storage system.
d specifies the delay option for
command retry due to sidefile:
0 = normal delay for command retry
starting at HWM
N = no delay time: no command retry
delay due to sidefile for this pair.
Use the N setting only for a limited number of critical
volumes. D = dummy pair mode (nn must specify the master
volume number).
With MODE(RESYNC) : Specifies that only the addressed
device should be resynchronized. AVnnd
