Managing workloads
P9000 Application Performance Extender enables you to add workloads and assign priorities based
on the defined SLO profiles assigned to XP or P9500 disk arrays. A workload is a combination of
I/Os from a host (Windows or Linux) and I/Os from a PRM group in a host (HP-UX).
P9000 Application Performance Extender supports application level performance differentiation across
applications on HP-UX hosts, and host level performance differentiation across hosts running
applications on Windows and Linux hosts.
In HP-UX, using PRM, you can create PRM groups and assign IDs (PRM IDs) to uniquely identify a
PRM group. P9000 Application Performance Extender workloads map to PRM groups.
This section describes the procedure to create, update, and remove workloads.
