Software Components
PCI Hot Plug support for Windows Server 2003 is provided through the PCI Hot
Plug Filter driver. This component is included in the ProLiant Support Pack for
Windows Server 2003.
Installing PCI Hot Plug Support
ProLiant Support Pack for Microsoft Windows Server 2003 contains all of the
software components required to support PCI Hot Plug. Included on the Support Pack
are hot-plug-aware device drivers, such as NC3131 controllers and the Smart Array
3200 controller. The Support Pack also provides the PCI Hot Plug Filter driver and
the System Management drivers.
Linux
HP servers running Linux can take advantage of the PCI Hot Plug functionality.
