server hosting the mailbox database. See
“Recovering Data with HP 3PAR Recovery Manager”
.
Volume promote restore overwrites all data on the original database volume. This overwrites ALL
data on the original volume and should only be performed with caution. See
with HP 3PAR Recovery Manager” (page 101)
.
WARNING!
DO NOT perform a volume promote restore if multiple storage groups share any
volumes. This includes all data files .LOG, .EDB, .CHK. If you are not sure how or if your storage
groups share volumes, execute the script chk_multi_storage.cmd, which is by default installed
at Program Files/3PAR/RM/Exchange/bin/ to determine how any storage groups may be
sharing volumes.
NOTE:
After the volume restore, using the same virtual copy for another volume restore or file
copy restore is not supported. HP recommends to remove that virtual copy and create a new virtual
copy for the newly restored object.
