Deleting a File Volume

When you delete a file volume, the volume group reclaims the space it used.

Caution

Deleting a file volume destroys all the data on that volume. This

procedure cannot be reversed. Therefore, remove all crucial

data before you delete the volume.

Before you proceed, make sure no one is accessing the file volume and delete

all snapshots associated with the file volume.
To delete a file volume:

In the Command View NAS web interface, click the Storage tab.

Navigate down the tree to File Volumes, then select File Volumes

Summary.

Select the file volume you want to delete by clicking the row.

Select Actions > Delete Selected File Volume.

Click OK to delete the file volume.
