Product Description
The EMU detects enclosure error conditions and configuration faults,
and then notifies the user of existing or impending failures, using one
or more of the following error reporting systems:
•
EMU LEDs
•
EMU audible alarm
•
Error messages on the host interface
•
Enclosure LEDs

In some instances [such as a blower failure, a high intake air
temperature, or a high internal enclosure (exhaust) temperature], the
EMU automatically initiates corrective action. For example, the EMU
will command the blowers to operate at high-speed to prevent
component damage due to an overtemperature condition. In a severe
case, the EMU might even turn O
FF
the enclosure power.
