Shelf Power Supplies
Each shelf power supply (see Figure 6–3) converts the incoming ac
voltage into +5 V dc and +12 V dc and distributes these voltages
throughout the RAID enclosure.
The maximum capacity for the UltraSCSI RAID enclosure is eight
power supplies, four of which provide power redundancy.
The standard power configuration uses five power supplies, one of
which provides power redundancy.
Caution
UltraSCSI RAID enclosures require shelf power supplies
rated for at least 180 W, such as model DS–BA35X–HH.
Other power supplies, such as the 150 W power supply,
model BA35X–HF, cannot be used.
