Fault Detection
Fault detection involves identifying errors and providing an indication
to the user for analysis. The following sections address how faults are
identified, descriptions of status LED indications, and in some cases,
possible corrective actions.
Error Detection, Reporting, and Analysis
The EMU and PVA constantly monitor the operational status of the
enclosure and its components. In some instances, automatic
corrective action implementation occurs. Status changes are indicated
to the user through a combination of LEDs, an EMU audible alarm,
and an optional maintenance terminal connected to the array
controller. Table 2–6 lists the major enclosure components and the
status items monitored by each component.
