Using Standby Power Mode
Complete the procedure in Table 2–3 to turn O FF the dc power
distribution, placing the subsystem in standby power mode. Complete
the procedure in Table 2–4 to restore dc power within the enclosures.
Table 2–3 Turning Off the DC Power
1. Clear the cache module and shut down the array controller per the
array controller documentation.
2. If there are no expansion enclosures, go to step 3.
If there are expansion enclosures, press and hold the PVA standby
power switch (C
ALLOUT 1) on an expansion enclosure until the
master EMU initiates a power shut down on all enclosures.
3. Press and hold the PVA standby power switch (C ALLOUT 1) on the
master enclosure until the EMU initiates a power shut down on the
master enclosure.
Note
The EMU alarm control switch (C ALLOUT 1 shown below) on
each enclosure now functions as the dc power switch.
