Parameters
Option
Preallocate the specified WWN or preallocate initiator WWNs
for a specified Virtual Connect Domain Group. Displays the
reserved WWNs to standard output in ASCII format. You must
specify a Virtual Connect Domain Group name and an integer
from 1 to 100 if you enter a DomainGroupName. Either of the
following formats is acceptable:
•
-reserve –wwn 08:03:24:34:AE:89:21:99
•
-reserve –wwn DomainGroupName 32
If you specify more than just lsmutil –reserve –wwn, you
must specify either the DomainGroupName and the number of
WWNs to reserve, or the single WWN to reserve.
If only the -wwn parameter is supplied with the reserve option,
the available domain groups are displayed.
-wwn [WWN| DomainGroupName
NumberofWWNs] –help
-reserve
Deallocates the WWNs listed in the comma or semicolon
separated list.
WWNsToUnreserve
-unreserve
Displays the current version of Insight Dynamics and also the
version of the logical server tables in the Insight Dynamics
database to standard output. These version numbers may match
or may not match.

Using LSMUTIL with logical server storage
The LSMUTIL command line interface can be used to:

Modify storage information to create multiple storage pool entries without using the logical
server storage screens in Virtualization Manager (see
“Creating multiple storage pool entries”

Facilitate communication between the server administrator who defines storage pool entries,
and the storage administrator who creates, presents, and zones storage (see
communication between server and storage administrators” (page 97)
•
Request initiator WWNs for storage preallocation

Modify server information to include details about local disks (see
