Importing a template XML file that was created in a later release of IO into a previous

Importing a template XML file that was created in a later release of IO into a previous release of
IO displays the error: “The template is invalid and could not be read by the Issue
IO server. The Details tab may provide more information about which part
of the template XML is invalid.”
For IO templates, backward compatibility is not supported. Forward compatibility is supported. Cause
Create and publish templates at the earliest IO version to which they are targeted. Action
Sporadic infrastructure orchestration designer interface failures in IE6
With IE6, launching infrastructure orchestration designer from infrastructure orchestration console
can cause sporadic infrastructure orchestration designer interface failures. Matrix OE infrastructure Issue
orchestration console in Systems Insight Manager displays the following message: “The HP
Matrix infrastructure orchestration tool cannot be displayed.”
— Possible cause
In Systems Insight Manager, select Tools
→infrastructure orchestration to return the infrastructure
orchestration console to its normal display.

Cloud bursting to Savvis fails
Cloud bursting to Savvis from Matrix infrastructure orchestration only works if the IO service doesn’t
contain any data disks. Issue
If data disks are present in the IO service design when the service is created, or if an Add Disk
operation is performed, the request will fail. Possible cause
Remove any data disks from services attempting to be provisioned to Savvis. Action
Linked clone provisioning of a VM template containing shared disks does not succeed

During ESX server provisioning, errors similar to the following are displayed: Possible cause
Error taking a snapshot on virtual Logical Server nnnnn . Virtual machine
is configured to use a device that prevents the snapshot operation:
Device is a SCSI controller engaged in bus-sharing.
The VM template created from an IO template specifies linked clone servers and deploys software
as an embedded shared disk. This combination is not supported.
Perform one of the following: Action
1. Edit the template in IO Designer and uncheck Deploy as Linked Servers.
2. Select other software to deploy without an embedded shared disk, and then retry the Create
Service operation.
