Quick Start Guide
As with any precision‐engineered device, always operate the EMO‐3000 in accordance with the
manufacturer’s instructions.
Connect to Flow Transmitter
You will connect three wires from a sensor to the back of the EMO‐3000 (see samples in Appendixes J, K,
L, M, and N). Insert the electrical power (red), signal (white), and ground (black) wires to the appropriate
terminals. Secure with a screwdriver.
Color of wires may vary.
Connect to DM‐3000 Display
Plug one end of the nine‐pin communication cable into the back of the EMO‐3000 and the other end
into the back of the DM‐3000 device (see appendix A).
Connect to Power
Before connecting to a power source, connect ground, neutral and live wires to terminals on back of the
EMO‐3000 (see Appendix J). The EMO‐3000 also supplies power to the DM‐3000. (To power the DM‐
3000 separately, see page 8.)
Connect wires to back of unit before applying power, and wire the unit only as described on label on back
of unit.
Enter KFR and KFT Factors
You will find the KFR and KFT factors on the Calibration Sheet packed with the flow meter(s). To program
these variables, see the Quick Programming section beginning on page 32.
Product Description
The EMO‐3000 Multi‐Channel Flow Computer is a versatile and expandable controller and monitor in
one. For use in tracking as many as 12 operations, the device can display all 12 channels on the
(optional) screen at one time. The EMO‐3000 helps maintain a steady flow rate and monitors quantities.
When programmed for closed‐loop feedback, the device reveals rate deviations, which can lead to
fewer re‐works and reduced labor and material costs.
