3.5.2 Electrical Connections – BoilerSpection HD
1. Connect temporary power to the camera.
In a later step of the installation, the permanent power and flexible conduit will be
installed. There are two conduit connections at the rear of the housing. Use one for the
power connections and the other for the network cable. One hole is ¾-inch and the other is
½-inch (see Figure 23).
Connect a VDC power cable through the ¾-inch hole. (see Figure 25).

2. Connect power to the Retraction System Control Box.
Two options are available for providing power to the BoilerSpection System:
Option 1: 100-240VAC, 47-63 Hertz power directly to each Retraction System Control
Box.
Option 2: 100-240VAC, 47-63 Hertz power can be supplied to a LumaSense Part #21844
Assembly, Power Panel. This power panel is then used to distribute power to each
Retraction System Control Box.
The 100-240VAC, 47-63 Hertz supply to the Retraction System Control Box goes through a
breaker and is then split using terminal blocks. It is split to supply an AC to DC power supply
for the Retraction System Controls and an AC to DC power supply for the camera.
Note: If the entire system or an individual Retraction System loses power the
affected cameras will retract using air pressure. The cameras will not reinsert until
power is restored.
3. Connect power to the Field Switch Enclosure (FSE).
