The BoilerSpec Web Server View Only application outputs streaming video of the images captured

by the BoilerSpection cameras using a web browser interface. Access to the images is controlled by
Microsoft’s Internet Information Services (IIS) that must be provided by and configured by the user’s
IT department. IIS is the web server interface that allows the user to control access and security to
the streaming images from the BoilerSpection system. The BoilerSpec Web Server module is
installed on the same IPC server that operates the BoilerSpection cameras.
Archive Viewer Software Module
This BoilerSpec Software module automatically archives images on a customer configurable basis
(maximum of 1 frame per second). These images can be stored locally on the IPC server or remotely
on the customer network. All files are searchable based on date, time, camera and/or alarm status,
and can be further analyzed using offline imaging analysis tools (e.g., MikroSpec 4.0 Pro from
LumaSense Technologies or other 3rd party image analysis software).
OPC Server Software Module
The OPC Server software module is installed on the IPC that operates the real time BoilerSpec
Camera Server software. The OPC Server outputs to an Ethernet switch (supplied as part of the IPC)
in order for connection to both a plant distributed control system (DCS) and/or other data storage
PCs (customer supplied). With OPC functionality there is open connectivity with open standards
allowing for faster, more reliable integration within a variety of DCS, SCADA and other control

systems. Examples of data and alarms that could be transmitted from the OPC Server to the
customer’s DCS include:

Average temperature within a custom defined region of interest (ROI)

Alarm when temperature within ROI reaches set threshold (indicated of ash deposits)

High Temperature Alarm

Rate of Change Alarm
