Power Distribution Options
Serial Bus Communication Adapter and I/O Modules
An auxiliary 24VDC power supply provides power to the
PointBus backplane and I/O modules. You can connect
up to 13 I/O modules and an adapter with a maximum of
10 A field power, using the auxiliary power.

Serial Bus System with 24VDC Expansion Power Unit
(RPSSSE24A)
The auxiliary power supports up to 13 I/O modules and
an adapter with a maximum of 10 A field power. The
24VDC expansion power unit (RPSSSE24A) extends
the backplane bus power to support up to 13 more I/O
modules. Connect additional expansion power units to
expand the I/O assembly up to the maximum of 63 I/O
modules.
