5.8.2 ATA Flat Cable Connection
The ATA 66/100 flat cable connects to the NANO-LX to one or two IDE devices. To
connect an IDE HDD to the NANO-LX please follow the instructions below.
Step 1: Locate the IDE connector. The location/s of the IDE device connector/s is/are
shown in Chapter 3.
Step 2: Insert the connector. Connect the IDE cable connector to the onboard
connector. See Figure 5-5. A key on the front of the cable connector ensures it
can only be inserted in one direction.

Step 3: Connect the cable to an IDE device. Connect the two connectors on the other
side of the cable to one or two IDE devices. Make sure that pin 1 on the cable
corresponds to pin 1 on the connector. Step 0:
