Syringe Pump and Drive Fluid Filter
The syringe pump draws fluid from the Drive Fluid container, in the bottom compartment of
the instrument. The fluid first passes through the Drive Fluid filter, which removes particles
greater than 35 microns in diameter.
The pumping action results from the up-and-down movement of the plunger guide in its
mounting bracket, which moves the plunger up and down in the glass cylinder, drawing Drive
Fluid in through the filter and into the valve and forcing it out into the sample loop.
