Installation
Checking the wiring
The green Sync LED and the red Cmd LED can be used to check that the control unit
has been wired correctly.
LED status
Meaning
Green LED is off.
Fault!
EASY DMX is broken or not powered.
Green LED lights up continuously.
Fault!
No master.
Green LED flickers.
OK!
Master and EASY supply available.
Red LED flashes.
OK!
Communication with input interfaces.
Note:
Faults of multiple masters cannot be displayed at the same time.
Activating DMX termination resistor
According to the DMX512-A standard, a termination resistor is required at the first and
last DMX device of the DMX device chain.
The EASY DMX termination resistor can be activated if EASY DMX is the first or last
device of the DMX device chain and no other external termination resistor is used in
the same position.
A termination resistor is integrated into EASY DMX and activated/deactivated via DIP
switch 1.

In all other positions along the chain, the termination resistor has to be deactivated
(default setting).
