General Media Loading Guidelines

Follow these guidelines when loading paper and media in the trays:

Use only recommended transparencies; print quality may vary with other transparencies.

Do not print on sheets of label stock that have labels removed.

Do not print CD labels with this printer.

Use only paper envelopes. Print envelopes 1-sided only.

Do not overload the paper trays.

Adjust the paper guides to fit the media size.

Media That Can Damage Your Printer

Your printer is designed to use a variety of media types for print jobs. However, some media can cause
poor output quality, increased paper jams, or damage to your printer.

Do not use the following:

Rough or porous media

Plastic media other than supported transparencies

Paper with cutouts or perforations

Paper with a prepunched hole in the center of the short edge

Paper with staples attached

Envelopes with windows, clasps of any type, side seams, or adhesives with release strips
