Reallocate Library Resources
Reallocating library resources (storage cells, tape drives, CAP cells, or cartridges) from
one partition to another is done through the Design (Step 3) screen. You must use the
following two-step process:
1. Remove the resource from the partition it is currently allocated to.
2. Allocate the resource to a different partition.

Caution –
Reallocating resources can result in orphaned cartridges and data that could
be lost. See
“Orphaned Cartridges in Partitioned Libraries” on page 152
for details.
