Shortcut: Enter a phone number in the idle display and press

Recording a Voice Name for a Phonebook Entry
You can record a voice name when you create a new phonebook
entry or when you edit a previously stored entry. This enables
you to use voice dialing to call the number.
Note: For best results, make your voice recording in a quiet
location. Hold the phone about four inches (10 centimeters)
from your mouth, and speak directly into the phone’s
microphone in a normal tone of voice.
1 When your phone displays
Press Record key then say
name
, press
+
(
Record
). Your phone displays
Say Name
Now
.
2 Press and release
+

Record
) and say the entry’s name
(within two seconds).
After you say the name once, your phone prompts you to
Press Record key then REPEAT name
.
3 Press

say the name in the same way as in the previous step.
