Add a Rest
Enter one or more rests (
R
characters) as needed in the tone
sequence. You can set the length of the rest by entering an

,
w
,
or
q
character after the rest, just as you can for a note.
Listen to a New Tone as You Compose It
Press the Menu key
M
and select
Play All
to play the notes
you have entered. Press the
-
(
Cancel
) to go back to entering
notes.

You can also create a ringtone by using the
up- and down-
arrows on the Navigation key

Start creating a new ringtone by pressing the
up- or down-
arrow on the Navigation key

. (The first press of the

will always display

As you press the up-arrow on the Navigation key

, the
following sequence of notes will appear:

Here the first 12 notes belong to the 2nd octave.
As you continue pressing up-arrow, the notes of 3rd octave
appear. The first note in third octave is represented as
3C
.
Subsequent notes that appear (by pressing up-arrow) will belong
to the 3
rd
octave, even though they are not prefixed with the
number 3 (as shown above). After the last note
B
of 3rd octave,
notes of the 1st octave are displayed, represented by
1C
, as
shown above.
