What to Do If...
You can’t
receive calls.
Check the signal strength indicator in the
display. If the signal is weak, move to an
open space or, if you are in a building,
move closer to a window.
Check the Call Forward and Call Barring
settings.
Check the In-call alerting settings. If the
ringer is off, there is no audible alert. See
“In-Call Alerting” on page
118.
Your phone
does not ring.
If you see the following in the display:

(Off)
•
y
(Vibrate)
•
u
(Flash)
the ringer is turned off. Turn the ringer
on. See page
118.
You cannot hear
others on your
phone.
While on a call, press up-arrow on the
Navigation key
S
to increase the
volume. Also, make sure that your
phone’s earpiece is not blocked by its
carrying case.
