Using Your Phone’s Menus
Chat
This option allows you to have a conversation with other people
using text messages.
When selected, you can choose between the following options:
Start Chat
This option allows you to start a chat.
1 When prompted to enter a nickname, press the Menu
key
M
to select the required text entry method. (See
“Choosing a Text Entry Mode” on page
57 for more
information.)
Then enter your nickname for the chat and press
+
(
OK
).
2 Enter your chat message.
Press the Menu key
M
to display an additional entry
method called
Quick Notes
. This option displays a list of
predefined notes that you can enter in your chat message.
3 When finished entering your chat message, press
+
(
OK
).
4 Enter the other party’s phone number or look it up in the
phonebook.
5 Press
+
to send the chat message.
6 After you send your chat message, you can:
• Suspend the chat by pressing
-
(
Suspend
).
or
• Continue the chat by pressing
+
(
Chat
).
