What It Does
View
Envelopes
This toggles the volume envelope display on or off. Selecting this
item checks (on) or un-checks (off) this option.
The screen display is less cluttered with Envelope Display turned
off, but it is essential for editing volume envelopes, and can remind
you of a fade or mute which you’ve entered previously.
Meter Mode
Selects the GUI Meter display response time between Peak (fast
responding), Average (slower responding) average, or Both (peak
and average, side by side). See the Metering section of this manual
for more details.
Peak Hold
Toggles, on or off, a feature to include the floating peak level
indicator at the top of the GUI meter bar. Selecting this item checks
(on) or un-checks (off) this option.
Time Units
Selects the time and time bar display in time, musical units or
sample number.
Enable
Snapping
Toggles snapping on and off. It's identical to the SNAP button.
Functions identically to toggling on the Snap button. See the Snap
section of this manual for more details on snapping.
Snap To Cues
When Snapping is enabled, the various pointers (e.g. region start
times) will snap to cue points on the Marker Bar.
Snap To Grid
When Snapping is enabled, this additional option enables snapping
to evenly space time intervals determined by the Grid Setting.
Grid Setting
Selects the resolution of the “snap-to” times when Snap To Grid and
Snapping are active. Uses units of time measurement.
Snap Edge
Sets the portion of a dragged region that becomes “magnetic” when
Snap is enabled. Selections are the region Left Edge, Right Edge,
or the place where you clicked when grabbing the region.
Solo Latch
This toggles whether the Track Solo (S) buttons work like “radio”
buttons (inter-canceling) or like check boxes (multi-selectable).
Select this item to check (on) or un-check (off) this option. When
Solo Latch is on, previously selected Solo's are latched on, and
multiple tracks can be selected for solo by clicking on their S
buttons. When off, previously selected Solo's are not latched on,
and clicking on any new the Track Solo button mutes all other
Tracks.
NOTE: Even if Solo Latch is not selected, multiple tracks can be
soloed by [S
HIFT
+click]ing / swiping on the tracks’ S buttons.
