Rescanning PCI slots

ESC
to go back to the Advanced page.
20. On the
Advanced
page, select
I/O Device Configuration
and then press
Enter
.
21. Select
Floppy disk controller
and then press
Enter
.
22. Select
Disabled
and then press
Enter
.
23. On the
Boot
page, do the following:
a. Select
USB FDC
and then press
x
to move it down and exclude if from the boot
list.
b. Select
USB KEY
and then press
x
to move it down and exclude if from the boot
list.
c. Select
PCI SCSI
and then press
+
to move it up to the second position in the boot
list.
d. Select
USB HDD
and then press
+
to move it up to the third position in the boot
list.
24. Press
F10
and then press
Enter
to save settings and restart.
25. Depending on the changes you made, you might need to rescan PCI slots, as
instructed in the procedure later in this section.
Rescanning PCI slots
If a board in a PCI slot is not detected, do the following. This resets (clears) PCI config
data, then rescans the bus for each slot the next time the K2 Media Client starts.
1. Connect keyboard, monitor, and mouse to the K2 Media Client.
2. Restart the K2 Media Client.
3. During the motherboard BIOS startup screen, press
Delete
to enter Setup. After the
SCSI controller adapter BIOS screen is displayed, the motherboard BIOS Setup
Utility screen opens.
4. In the BIOS Setup Utility menu, navigate through the menu system as follows:
Advanced | PCI/PnP Configuration | Reset Config Data
. Set to
YES
.
When set to YES, it is enabled for the next startup and then set back to NO
afterwards.
5. Press
F10
and select
Yes
to save the configuration and restart.
