Set power management settings
1. On the Windows desktop right-click
My Network Places
and select
Properties
.
The Network Connections window opens.
2. Identify the network connections that are actual network adapters and not a team.
The actual network adapters should have names as follows:
• Control Connection #1
• Control Connection #2
• Media Connection #1
• Media Connection #2
3. Right-click any of the actual network adapters (do not select a team) and select
Properties
.
The …Connection Properties dialog box opens.
4. Click
Configure
.
The …Properties dialog box opens.
5. On the
Power Management
tab, uncheck all checkboxes, if they are not already
unchecked.
6. On the …Properties dialog box, click
OK
.
7. Repeat these steps on the remaining actual network adapters (not a team) in the
Network Connections window.
The network configuration procedure is complete.
Configuring Event Viewer
If you have a problem with the Windows Event Viewer logs getting too big, configure
as follows:
1. From the Windows taskbar click
