The transparent command is used to enable or disable transparent mode configuration
parameters. The transparent mode feature enables a VPN-firewall device to function as a simple
2-port layer-2/bridge device so that it can be deployed as a bump-in-the-wire device with minimal
changes to the existing network (especially from the routing point of view).
