Classification of EMC performance
General classes of EMC performance are available as detailed below:
Class 1: General Industrial
Compliance with European Standard EN 61800-3 (EMC Product Standard for
Power Drive Systems) for use in Second Environment (Industrial).

Class 2: Industrial application with filter
This level of EMC performance will allow the manufacturer/installer to certify their
equipment themselves for compliance with the EMC directive for the industrial
environment, as far as the EMC performance characteristics of the power drive
system are concerned. Performance limits are as specified in the Generic Industrial
Emissions and Immunity Standards EN 61000-6-4 und EN 61000-6-2.
