CD mode messages

The following pop-up messages appear when the unit is in CD mode (when the

CD

menu or one of its submenus is open).

Refer to this chart when you want to understand the meaning of these messages and how you should respond to them.

Message

Description and remedy

Blank CD
Insert CD-RW

A blank CD has been inserted. Insert a CD-RW that is not blank.

This message appears when the ERASE item of the CD menu is used, but the set disc is blank. There is no

need to erase the inserted CD-RW.

Blank CD
Insert Opened CD

A blank CD has been inserted. Insert an unfinalized CD-R/CD-RW.

This message appears when the FINALIZE item of the CD menu is used, but the set disc is blank.

Insert a CD-R/CD-RW that you want to finalize.

Finalized CD
Insert CD-RW

A finalized CD-RW has been inserted. Insert an unfinalized CD-RW.

This message appears when the ERASE item of the CD menu is used, but the set disc is a finalized CD-R/

CD-RW.

Only CD-RW discs can be erased.

Finalized CD
Insert Opened CD

A finalized CD-R/CD-RW has been inserted. Insert an unfinalized CD-R/CD-RW.

This message appears when the FINALIZE item of the CD menu is used, but the set disc is an already

finalized CD-R/CD-RW.

This CD-R/CD-RW does not need to be finalized.

Import File
Too Big

The size of file to be imported is too large.

When using the CD PLAY/IMPORT item of the CD menu, the size of the file to be imported exceeds the

free space on the SD card.

Create more free space on the SD card by erasing the undo operation history, for example, to open

enough space to import the file.

Invalid CD
Insert Blank CD

An invalid CD-R/CD-RW has been inserted. Insert a blank CD.

You tried to write to a CD-R/CD-RW using the MASTER WRITE or CD BACKUP items in the CD menu, but

inserted a CD-R/CD-RW that is not blank. (When using Track At Once, this message also appears if a

finalized CD-R/CD-RW is set.)

Insert a blank CD.

Not Erasable
Insert CD-RW

A disc other than a CD-RW has been inserted.

This message appears when the ERASE item of the CD menu is used, but the set disc is a CD-R.

Insert a CD-RW that you want to erase.

Invalid CD
Insert Opened CD

An invalid CD-R/CD-RW has been inserted. Insert an unfinalized CD-R/CD-RW.

This message appears when the FINALIZE item of the CD menu is used, but a CD-R/CD-RW that cannot

be finalized has been inserted.

Insert a CD-R/CD-RW that you want to finalize.
