Use this table to solve some common problems.
Problem Action
Printer’s firmware or
network card’s firmware did
not re-flash correctly.
Check for a typographical error in the
version string, filename, or path. Correct
the file and resend it.
Printer’s configuration does
not change to match the
NCL file.
Make sure all the Sections, Keys, and
Values are spelled correctly and quotation
marks are used where necessary.
Printer does not process
the NCL file.
Make sure each line, including [NCL_End]
ends with either a carriage return, a line
feed, or both (carriage return and a line
feed).
Printer seems to be locked
up or caught in a loop.
Turn off the printer. Check the NCL file for
spelling, capitalization, and spacing to
make sure it matches the path and
filenames, version strings, or Keys/Values.
Correct the file. Turn on the printer and
resend it.
