Command Line Interface Introduction
The Command Line Interface (CLI) is the user interface to the ES8510 embedded software. You can view the
system information, show the status, configure the switch, and receive a response back from the system by
keying in a command.
There are several different command modes. Each command mode has its own access ability, available
command lines and uses different command lines to enter and exit. These modes are:
•
on Page 130, which includes commands to ping or telnet to a remote device, and show
some basic information and to access Privileged EXEC mode
•
on Page 132, which provides a view current configuration, reset default, reload
switch, show system information, save configuration, and access Global Configuration mode
•

one of the Interface Configuration modes
