Repairs to this equipment may be made oniy by an authorized Brother
Service Representative or dealer. This applies at any time during and
after warranty. If unauthorized repair is performed, registration and
connection to the teiephone lines and the remainder of the warranty
period all become null and void, if you should ever decide to perma­
nently disconnect your Brother FAX from the present line, please report
this to the telephone company.
If, through abnormal circumstances, the telephone line is damaged, unplug the
machine until the source of the problem is determined. If your Brother FAX is the
source of the problem, it should not be reconnected until necessary repairs are
made. Should the telephone company notify you that your Brother FAX is
causing harm, you should unplug your machine. The telephone company will,
where practical, notify you that temporary discontinuation of service may be
required. However, where prior notice is not practical, the telephone company
may temporarily discontinue service, if such action is reasonably necessary. In
such cases, the telephone company can be expected to do the following:
• Promptly notify you of such temporary discontinuance.
• Afford you the opportunity to correct the conditions.
• Inform you of your right to bring a complaint to the FCC under their rules.
