Tip: On the 24-channel version,
you could use input modules
9-16 to feed multitrack A. Simply
connect the signal sources to the
MIC/LINE 9-16 inputs and route
those signals to Croups 1-8.
Again, for clarity's sake, we
strongly advise you connect mui-
titrack A's outputs to the TAPE IN
9-16 jacks.

2. Set all GROUP/DIRECT switches (rear panel, below the channel 9-16
or 17-24) section) to 'Direct'.
This is necessary to disconnect the Group signals from the TAPE SEND
(GROUP OUT/DIRECT OUT) -lOdBV outputs.
3. Connect the TAPE SEND (CROUP OUT/DIRECT OUT) jacks 9-16 (or
17-24) to inputs 1-8 of multitrack B.
4. Connect outputs 1-8 of multitrack recorder B to the TAPE IN -lOdBV
connectors 9-16 (or 17-24).

5. Connect the signal sourcesfor tracks 1-8 of multitrack B to the MIC/LINE
jacks of modules 9-16 (or 17-24).
Operation is the same as for one 8-track recorder (see page 17). Just bear in
mind that the signals of inputs 1-8 (or 9-16) are routed to the Group outputs,
while modules 9-16 (or 17-24) are routed to their respective TAPE SEND con
nectors. Thus, there is no need to assign input modules 9-16 (17-24) to a
Group. As a matter of fact, doing so would route the corresponding signals to
multitrack A, which is not what we want.
16-Track Recorder
See “Two 8-Track Recorders” and substitute ‘tracks 1-8 of multitrack B’ with
‘tracks 9-16’.
