Creating a Local System Backup
It’s possible to setup a backup job to perform a System Backup of a client to its own locally-attached tape
drive. You must have previously configured a
for the client before
configuring a local System Backup Job.
To create a
Local System Backup, select
Configure->Backup Jobs
. Enter a name in the
Job ID field, then
choose “
local (client tape)” from the Server Name field.
After choosing “
local (client tape)” you will
exceptions:
1. Only
System Backup profiles will be available for selection.
2. You may select only one client since the backup will be sent from the client to its own local media.
3. Only a device named
SBTAPE (backup to local tape) will be available, and only if previously
configured.

Changing a Backup Job
To change information for an existing backup job, either:
1. Select
Configure
!Backup Jobs
from the menu bar, then type or select the
Job ID at the top of the
screen.
