6. Disengage the backplane board from the retention tabs (Figure 58, “A”) and lift the backplane
board and bracket up and out of the chassis (“B”).
7. Disconnect the SAS cable from the rear of the backplane board and the HDD LED HSBP LED
cable and the HDD power cable from the front of the backplane board (“C”).
8. Separate the sheet metal bracket from the backplane board by removing the three screws that
fasten it to the board (“D”).
9. Save the bracket and screws to reuse with the new backplane board.
