Removing the Control Panel
NOTICE: Before disconnecting a device from the computer or removing a component from the system board, verify
that the standby power light on the system board has turned off. To locate this light for the Dell Precision 670
computer, see " System Board Components " and for the Dell Precision 470 computer, see " System Board Components ."
1. Remove the front panel .
2. Disconnect the control-panel cable from the I/O panel connector.
3. Disconnect the I/O panel cable from the connector on the system board. To locate the system board connector on the
Dell Precision 670 computer, see " System Board Components " and for the Dell Precision 470 computer, see " System
Board Components ."
4. Remove the mounting screw from the control panel.
