The Tools menu lets you modify logic in the old Ladder Editor.

Function Description
Logic Verify Confirms that the logic that you configured is valid.
Confirms that:
• each rung has a minimum input and output element
• each branch has a minimum element
• each element has the minimum number of bound pins
• each attribute has the correct data type associated with
it
• the two ends of a binding are of the same type
Compare Compares the logic configured in the device with the logic
configured in the old Ladder Editor. You must be working in
the online mode to use this function.
Edit Mode Toggles between working in the Edit mode and not working
in the Edit mode.
In the Edit mode, it is possible to modify the logic but you
cannot communicate with the device. (That is, you cannot
upload or download logic or use the Logic Enable On or
Logic Enable Off functions.)
When you are not working in the Edit mode, it is possible to
perform online animation. If you are working in online mode,
it is possible to set the preset value or accumulator value of
counters or timers, but you cannot modify logic.
Edit Tags Creates latch, counter, and timer tag names.
