Variables

Variables are transferred using the serial interfaces (Com1, Com2; Modbus RTU) or LAN inter-
face (Ethernet; Modbus/TCP). During this process, the central processing unit can serve as a
Modbus master or Modbus slave.
Chapter 6.7 "Serial interface", page 78
Chapter 6.6 "Modbus/TCP", page 76
This means that up to 64 float variables, 64 integer variables, 64 digital variables, and 9 (ver-
sion 02: 27) text variables are available to be freely used in the system.
As of system version 02, a PROFIBUS-DP interface (slave) is also available which supports
the transfer of float and integer variables.
Chapter 6.8 "PROFIBUS (version 02)", page 83

64 analog variables are available (analog variables 1 to 64).
