8.1.2 Shutdown/Restart
CAUTION
Avoid shutting down 3000 Micro GC using the power
switch on the front panel. This may cause a system
integrity issue.
CAUTION
If a 3000 Micro GC is powered off when the column is at a
high temperature, column contamination and
degradation may result.
Proceed as follows to shutdown or restart a 3000 Micro GC.
1 Create a shutdown method:
 Turn off the Detector Filaments
 Lower the Column Temperature to 45°C
 Select On for Column Pressure and set to at least 20 PSI
A shutdown method is illustrated in Figure 8-2 .

2 Download the method from EZ IQ onto the 3000 Micro GC.
